Cleaning The Sick Off

Olivia needed a few baths after covering herself in vomit. She was generally unhappy about this, but here she shows a bit of her characteristic sweetness despite illness.

Buff Bunny Down

Miffy was the among the first causalties of vomiting. Talk about taking one for the team. She spent several days drying out in the laundry room, looking gaunt and unhappy.

And they called it… Cubby Love!

Cubby and Shada came up to visit us for a weekend, and Olivia had a blast and a half. We have never, ever seen her take a shine to an unfamiliar person of the male persuasion so quickly. Of *course* she loved Shada, Shada is a fun and sweet *female.* Boy-types tend to put Olivia on the defensive (meaning, running back to Mamma as quickly as possible and clambering into her arms). They went for walks, read Olivia books and generally played and were silly. Olivia couldn't get to sleep that first night, she was so excited. She actually had to fall asleep sitting up on the couch in front of the TV. Olivia asked about our fun guests for days after their departure. She still occasionally looks at me and says "Uhbby??" I'm sure by the next time they visit, O. will be capabable of saying "Shada."

Cub raises Olive until she meets the sky.

Wishful Thinking

It's too rainy to go biking, so we sit in the bicycle seat in the living room.

Water!

Olivia is still fascinated by water. She loves to stand at the sink and help wash vegetables, play with cups, drink or just put her hands under running water.
