Portrait of Henry by Olivia
Olivia painted this picture of Baby Henry at school.
Mother's Day
Today s Mother's day, and Liv was excited about it. Jenny had modest requests (a dinner that she loves and a few pastries from Nabolom). Still Liva and I were up ahead of Mom and Henry so we started to make breakfast, make a card and picked some flowers from the front yard to round out the morning and buy Mom some more precious sleep time.
Then we woke Mom up with the light of morning through the open door, Liv's extra loud "Good Morning!" and my laughter at the fact that Liv announced that we had brought "Breftsicks and Bread," instead of breakfast in bed.
Accuracy
Yesterday, Jenny took a nap while I went to the store and Liv watched a program. She knows not to open the door and Jenny is in the next room so it's a fairly safe operation.
While I was out, the mailman came, which probably set the dog off barking, and then Liv obviously got up and retrieved the mail for the mail slot and when I got home I found a huge mess.
My computer was on the ground with the power supply smashed, and the mail had been systematically shredded into tiny pieces.
I talked with Liv about what she did and I told her I probably should stay with her from now on.
Today, I was relating the story to Jenny, and Liv was within earshot. I said, "Liv shredded the mail and knocked over my computer." She interrupted, "No, dad!" She continued, "First I broke your computer then I shredded the mail."
She always wants to set the record straight.
Messed Up Words
Livvy's Grandma is a Nurse and she has checked family member's blood pressure in Liv;'s presence on occasion, and Target has one of those devices where you sit down, press the button and it measures your blood pressure, which of course Liv loves. And add to that the fact that Liv has a little kids medical kits and a dentists kit. She has a definite interest in the diagnostic and nurturing elements of health care.
Still, she's only three and a half, I should have expected her, while sliding a bracelet up my arm, describe what she was doing as using her "blood pusher" to check my health.
Painting Ceramics
Liv and Henry did a little artwork together. Liv used her hands and Henry used his feet.
