Trains, Anger and Tantrums
Livvy loves trains, but they are both a source of fun and frustration. There is a fine line at this age, and you can see Olivia (with her back to you) explore both. If this was filmed from a different perspective, I think this could have been a good surrogate for Godzilla in Japan.

Pi & LIv
As every day passes, Livvy loves Pi more and more. It's clear. He's now part of her elaborate games, she feeds hime and she often stops me to say, "Hey Dad, Take my picture with Pilot." He sits patiently next to her while I snap a shot and most of the time he'll sneak his toungue out and lick her from her mouth to her forehead. Slurp.
Working on Words
Livvy was looking for her little elephant.
"He was in my room a couple of whiles ago."
She clearly understands the words and is working very hard to put them together.
Hand-Eye
We have an old laptop for Livvy, and we've had a few pre-schooler games that we've occasionally played. By playing, I mean Jenny and I play while Livvy points at the screen.
Recently, I thought, she might be ready to try again. We bought a Winnie-The_pooh game and she immediately got the mouse function, hand-eye coordination and played by herself. She's almost mastered the mouse and next will be the keyboard for number-letter recognition.
Then.... well, then it's onto unix shell scripting and systems administration.
More Games of Despair
Olivia continues to amaze me with her games. The titles are the games are still fairly descriptive (maybe even giving away the plot of the game), and have now leveled out to a definite theme of despair.
Most recent games:
"Edward and Emily are the same room and they are lonely."
"You be the baby and I'll be the Mama and I go to work and you cry."
She's also asks lots of questions like these:
"Mama is home alone? Is she lonely?"
"Is Pilot lonely in the car?"
Trains with Olivier
Olivia nd Olivier bth unconditionally love trains. Adina and I took the two up to the steam trains at Tilden Park and had a great lunch and caught a few rides on the trains.
Part of the fun of teh ride is the sreaming in the tunnel.
Amazing Memory
Everything in the past is still "last night," but she's really remembering things from months and months ago.
"Last night Mama called you at work and asked if I could open and package and you said "only one package' and I said 'OK,' and I opened it and it was S.C. Ruffey."
This experience occurred at least five months ago.
She consistently remembers things that were months and months ago. When she gets stuck for proper names or places she expends a great deal of effort on describing what she remembers.
