Even the Trains Ride Trains

Livvy still loves trains, and by extension I think she believes that everyone likes trains. Even her trains. Here her trains get to ride trains.

Nursing

Again, Olivia has been fascinated by babies. So much so that she's been spontaneously asking to nurse kids (and inanimate objects such as windmills). Here, Olivia nurses Emma.

Free Range Kids

We took Emma and Olive to the Marina. They loved it. We had a few different adventures -- offroad driving with Emma at the wheel of the tricycle, and then the free range run, where the girls ran and ran and ran and ran all the way across the field.

Liv with Nat

Olivia is fascinated with babies. She was super excited to have an opportunity to hold Nate. SIt broiught out her motherly and nurturing skills... many squeezes and pats were administered.

Tree?

The city recently removed a very large dead tree form in front of our house. It was a few days ago, and I'm not sure there was a whole lot of fan far from Livvy's perspective. Today, when getting ready to leave for co-op, Livvy was starting to climb into the car, stepped back, looked around, and said, "Hey,! Where the tree go?" They are observant little buggers.

Icky! I want icky!

Jenny and I made a persimmon cake this weekened, and Livvy loved it. Jenny was out on a girls night one evening, and I had fed Livvy and she said "I want some cake. I want the icky part!" I wasn't sure what she was talking about, because we generally use the work "icky" in reference to poison and medicine and things that we don't want her to eat. I said, "No, we don't eat icky stuff." She burst into tears and said "Yes, I want cake with icky. I want icky!" Sigh. It was a hard one to start sorting out. So I got her some cake, tears gone away and no issues. I later related the story to Jenny, and she started laughing pretty hard. It so happens that Livvy was trying to say "sticky" in reference to the cakes glaze-style icing.

Wigs

Olivia found my Halloween wig, and the result is very scary!

Home Dentistry

I think i'm going to go buy a set of pliers, boil them to make sure they are sterile and then I'm going to extract the just-poking-through two-year molars from my daughters mouth. I believe the pain and suffering for all will be less in total than letting them come in naturally

By Color and From Big to Small

We pulled out these fuzzy balls, and dumped them on the floor Livvy immediately began sorting them by color and then lined them up from big to small. "Here's a mommy and here's anoder mommy and a baby, and anoder baby...."
