Pushin' Buttons
Olivia loves to push buttons. Here we are at the Little Farm Visitor Center. They have buttons that are at grade-school-kid-height. Olivia rose to the challenge. I think we played here for about an hour.

Have Booger, Will Travel
A couple of days ago Liv and I were driving home from co-op when she announced, "Mamma, look! Booger."
I glanced back to see if this was an accurate statement, and sure enough there was her little pointer finger with a wee smear of something on the tip. I handed her a tissue and confirmed, "Yes, that is a booger." And then I added, "Your nose made it!" because there has been more talk in our lives lately about bodily functions and what comes out of where.
After a pause, Livvy asked in her best conversational tone "Mamma's nose mmfblabla booger?" (she "fills in" when she doesn't know a word.)
"Yes, Mamma's nose makes boogers. LOTS of boogers..." (It is, after all, allergy season.)
"Daddy's nose mmfblabla booger?"
"Yes, Daddy's nose makes boogers, too! Everybody's nose makes boogers."
"Ramma's nose mmfblabla booger?"
"Yes, Grandma's nose makes boogers, too."
And so it went, with Livvy requesting information on everyone's nose and potential boogers... Poppa, Sarah, Mikey, even Pi & Ingrid.
Because really, she wants to know.
Making A Tunnel for the Trains
Two things Olivia loves: being naked and playing with trains. Two great passtimes that go great together.
Foofy!
It's a common occurrence to look down and see this little kid shoving at my legs, trying to move me out of the way, while vigorously saying, "Foofy! Foofy, Mamma!"
Translation: foofy (foo-fee) is Livvy's way of saying "excuse me."
Unfortunately it took me awhile to figure out what she was trying communicate. Such a polite child. (Sometimes...)
Jodie's Chicken
Today we bought a mess of fried chicken from Jodie's for a brunch we were hosting at the house. Livvy came with me to order and pick up the chicken. Jodie, kindly, handed a drumstick around the corner for Olive to munch on while we waited. She went NUTS. Salty, greasy, tender and sweet make her a happy toddler. On the way way home she demanded, "More! More Chicken Please!"
She ate another chunk at lunch, and then for dinner she ate some corn cake and another drumstick. Jenny and I are going to try baking Rocky range chicken parts -- hopefully she's come to like chicken, and not just the FRIED variety.
'puter
Livvy has been showing great interest in our laptops. This is problematic, because she like to press buttons without any pattern or though. I have had may machine rebooted numerous times, without open docs being saved.
Today I dug out an old laptop from upstairs and configured it for her use. She loved it. She pointed at it and said "livvy's!." She knows it's hger computer. She began poking at it, rebooting it twice before i could even get the networking up and running.
trying to distract her so I could finish up I asked her what this object was.
She responded, "puter"
I asked "What's it's name?"
She said "Peter!"
So, now we have Peter 'Puter.
A little later in the evening we put Peter away so we could get ready for bed, and she walked around crying "Peter? 'Puter? Peter?"
We responded, "Peter went night-night."
Ice Cream
This kid loves ice cream. Here is a series of shots of her eating the product of our own hard work -- homemade Lemon Verbena Ice Cream.
Eating With Matteo
Olivia loves having dining companions. Here she shares the table with matteo.
