Yerba Buena
Listening to a Native People's program, Olivia wanted to run around, dance and play gamnes. Thne music got slightly p[olitical when a band got on stage to sing a song about everyone bonding together in solidarity aginast The White Man. Olivia was easily the lightest skinned child by far, but she never wavered from her fun.
Making Art At SFMOMA
We went to the SFMOMA for family day -- which was also father's day -- and Olivia had great fun in the "make art" room. She especially loved the glitter. It's good she got to play to her hearts content at the museum, because Jenny and I agree that we'll never have glitter at home.
Stucking
Olivia has been picking up new language with leaps and bounds. She asks questions "Dada, where are you?" and "Dada, what you doing?" Puts three and four word sentences together on a frequent basis. fewer and fewer bridge murmurs ("Mama, bed, elmo, aaahhhhhhh, night night.").
My new favorite: When she's having trouble getting off the couch, or her foot gets caught in the cuff of her pants, she says : "I stucking! I stucking!" We have mixed feelings about correcting her, as it's so damn cute.
Preparing Dinner
Helping grandma prepare a salad for a bar-b-que. Olivia is always so helpful.
Piggy Back
Sometimes there is nothing better than going piggy back on mama.
Poopin'
Olivia makes her comic book debut. In this episode she tries very hard to, well, take care of business.
View the comic.
Sleepy Kid
It was a late, late night. Olivia was over tired and we had a hell of a time getting her to go down. The first photo is of her drinking warm milk with Miffy. The second is the next morning - her completely sacked out.
Bubbles
Jenny was blowing bubbles for Olivia. Olivia was having a blast.
She'd catch a bubble and exclaim: "I caught it!"
She'd hold it in her wet little hands and say: "I hold it!"
And then she'd pop the bubble and say: "I popped it!"
