Fishing String

Livvy has been playing game with me when we ride to co-op in my car. There is a dog leash in the back seat, which she calls her "fishing string." She likes to fish for things for me while I drive. So far, she's pretty rigid about what she'll catch for me. The possibilities are limited to:
  • Rainbows
  • Rainbow Pumpkins
  • Pumpkins
  • And Doggy Special Treats.
If I ask her for anything else, she says, "No, we don't have that." "Cucumber?" "No, we don't have that." "Kitty Special treat?" "No, we don't have that." "Rainbow?" "OK." So the game goes on for a while. She asks me what I want, and as long as I pick from the above menu, she works to lower the "fishing string" in the back seat, fiddles with it and the pulls it back up, then demands that I put my hand in the back seat, and puts the catch of the day in my hand. She then insists that I pretend to eat it. Then she asks me what I want again. This goes on for four or five cycles. At that point she stops fishing. If I ask for a Rainbow Pumpkin, she dismissively responds, "No you ate it all up." There's a definitely a tone of contempt in her voice, as though I depleted the back-seat-fishing-hole of all the Rainbow Pumpkins. The next time we get in the car, she starts up again.
