Icky! I want icky!
Jenny and I made a persimmon cake this weekened, and Livvy loved it.
Jenny was out on a girls night one evening, and I had fed Livvy and she said "I want some cake. I want the icky part!"
I wasn't sure what she was talking about, because we generally use the work "icky" in reference to poison and medicine and things that we don't want her to eat.
I said, "No, we don't eat icky stuff."
She burst into tears and said "Yes, I want cake with icky. I want icky!"
Sigh. It was a hard one to start sorting out.
So I got her some cake, tears gone away and no issues.
I later related the story to Jenny, and she started laughing pretty hard. It so happens that Livvy was trying to say "sticky" in reference to the cakes glaze-style icing.
