Pumpkin Patch

Olivia has in the last few weeks become obsessed with pumpkins. As we drive through the neighborhood she says "Dere's a punkin'," pointing to our neighbors porches. When I ask, "Where?" she replies, "It's back dere, far away!" Where did the obsession start? At co-op, of course. She made a pumpkin with googly eyes and a nose at Lisa's house. She named it "Harry." Later that day, I picked her up from co-op and came home where we spent 45 minutes drawing pumpkins of various sizes and colors and assigning them names. My favorite name she made up? "Bah-Lu-Lah." So we did what any parent of an obsessed kid would do: we took her to the pumpkin patches in Half Moon Bay. The visit quickly became about running amongst the pumpkins and filling up wagons full of various pumpkins and squash.
