Sam's Food

Olivia has been eating chicken. Is that a GASP I heard? Yes, she's been eating a healthy amount of grilled chicken the last few nights. We've used an odd technique to get her to eat it. We call it "Sam's Food." A few weeks ago, Jenny went to dinner with some of the Co-op Moms. And Olive was sitting next to her friend Sam. Sam has a healthy appetite and eats just about everything in front of him. And Olive began top pick things of his plate and eat them -- including Chicken. A few days later we bought Burritos at Cactus, and tried to get her to eat some chicken. She wouldn't touch it... until we asked her if she wanted some "Sam's Food." Then she ate it. We now dice up chunks of chicken, and use a big people fork (read, our adult forks) and spear a chunk and ask her if she wants some "Sam's Food." Works every time. She likes to pack so much in her mouth that we have to demand that she chew. It's pretty cute actually. Yay! for protein.
